Abstract:
This study investigates the role of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) in driving employee performance and organizational effectiveness. Utilizing an empirical dataset of 1,000 employees (Extended_Employee_Performance_and_Productivity_Data.csv), this paper evaluates how core strategic HR dimensions—namely training investment, employee satisfaction, promotion status, overtime work, and total tenure—influence overall employee performance scores. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, department-wise comparisons, and multiple linear regression models were executed to extract actionable insights. The results demonstrate that Training Hours ($\beta = 0.0710, p < 0.001$) and Employee Satisfaction ($\beta = 3.6500, p < 0.001$) serve as statistically significant positive predictors of performance. Conversely, excess Overtime Hours exhibits a statistically significant negative association ($\beta = -0.1190, p < 0.001$), emphasizing the productivity risks of employee burnout. Departmental analyses reveal minimal performance variance across functional units, suggesting that strategic HR interventions exert a pervasive benefit across the entire enterprise. The paper concludes with strategic implications for HR leaders seeking to optimize human capital investments.
