Abstract:
The workforce skill requirements across industries have been fundamentally redefined by the fast transition brought about by Industry 4.0 technologies, which include automation, big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and cyber-physical systems. In order to address dynamic and technology-driven skill gaps, traditional role-based talent management approaches are becoming less and less effective. Continuous learning and ongoing education are emphasised as essential components in preparing employees to adapt to the shifting demands of the industry.
This study looks at how upskilling and reskilling programs driven by AI may close skill gaps in the Industry 4.0 ecosystem to acquire the workforce ready for the future. Through the use of AI-enabled learning, ongoing competency development, and digital adaptability, the study creates a conceptual framework that connects skill-based talent management practices (an independent variable) with workforce agility and organisational success (dependent factors). In order to gather opinions from managers and workers in technology-intensive businesses, the study uses a quantitative research approach and standardised survey tools.AI integration in talent development procedures improves strategic workforce planning, decreases skill obsolescence, and promotes cultures of continuous learning.
